This page will guide you setting up the software that is
required to study PowerBuilder Online courses.
  Video Players

Some of the lessons include multimedia
files -- in other words, they contain video & audio
and demonstrate some features, how-to-do, demos etc.
These are recorded using 'Lotus ScreenCam' software. To
play these video files, you need to get a 'Lotus
ScreenCam Player'. In fact, you probably already have the
player--but in case you don't, please download from
the "Lotus Corporation's" site at free of cost. |
Compression
Utilities |
Some of the course-specific resources
that you may need to download may be compressed files--in
other words, they may be compacted down to make them
smaller and faster for you to download. PowerBuilder
Online uses standard compression formats .zip. In fact,
you probably already have a utility that will decompress
files--but in case you don't, we have links (WinZip 6.1) here to
sites that provide them:

Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer
3.0--PowerBuilder Online courses are designed to work
with Netscape Navigator 3.0. Unsure whether your browser
version is 3.0 or greater? |
Netscape Navigator |
When in Netscape, click on Help, then
click on About Netscape. The page that loads will tell
you what version of Netscape you have. |
Internet Explorer |
When in Explorer, click on Help, then
click on About Internet Explorer. The page that loads
will tell you what version of IE you have. |
